Discover Flying
EAA Eagle Flights® is a free introductory flight experience and informal mentoring program for adults who want to discover flying but are not sure how or where to take that first step.
Your First Step Into Aviation
Your Dream of Flying Is Closer Than You Think
Eagle Flights begins with a hands-on introduction to general aviation. You will fly with a local EAA-member pilot who can introduce you to the airplane and help you experience what flying is really like.
During the flight, you may have the opportunity to follow along at the controls and get a feel for what being a pilot is all about.
This is not a sales presentation or commercial flight lesson. It is a welcoming introduction to aviation from people who love flying and want to share that experience.
The Eagle Flights Experience
From Curiosity to the Cockpit
Eagle Flights gives adults a relaxed and welcoming way to explore aviation while connecting directly with experienced members of the local flying community.
Meet a Local EAA Pilot

Experience Flying
Take an introductory flight and follow along at the controls to experience what being a pilot is really like.
Discover the Next Step

Experience Aviation First-Hand
Get a Feel for What Being a Pilot Is All About
Eagle Flights is designed to be more than simply sitting in an airplane. Your EAA-member pilot can explain what is happening throughout the experience and help you become familiar with the cockpit.
The program gives adults a comfortable opportunity to experience general aviation before deciding whether they want to pursue additional training.
No Sales. No Pressure. Just Aviation.
The whole Eagle Flights experience is free. There is no sales pitch and no obligation. It is simply an opportunity to learn, have fun and experience aviation with people who are passionate about flying.
And there is one important take-home message: Your dream of flying may be a lot closer than you think.
After the Flight
Find Your Place in the Aviation Community
The experience does not have to end when the airplane returns to the ground.
Your Eagle Flights pilot can help you learn more about opportunities within the local aviation community, including ways to continue learning and the steps you can take if you decide to pursue a pilot certificate.
EAA Chapter 723 provides a community where aviation enthusiasts, pilots, builders and future pilots can connect and share their enthusiasm for flight.
EAA Eagle Flights
The Adventure Can Start With One Flight.
You do not have to know everything about aviation before getting started. Eagle Flights exists to help adults take that first step, experience flying and discover where aviation could take them next.
