Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program gives youth ages 8 through 17 an opportunity to experience flight in a general aviation airplane.
These flights are offered free of charge through the generosity, experience and commitment of EAA member volunteers.
One experience can open up a whole new world of possibilities: discovering how airplanes work, meeting people who love aviation, and seeing the world from a different perspective.

Learn Before You Fly
Professional Flight Simulator
Chapter 723 has an on-site, professional-level flight training simulator donated by the Hutchinson Foundation to support the chapter’s youth education programs.
The Redbird simulator recreates the flight experience of a Cessna 172 with full controls, navigation equipment and communication radios.
In addition to their Young Eagles flight, youth participants may have an opportunity to take the simulator controls alongside an experienced aviation mentor.

At AirVenture 2022 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Camarillo EAA Chapter 723 was recognized for supporting the Young Eagles program for 30 continuous years.
That recognition represents decades of volunteer service, aviation education and a commitment to introducing young people to the world of flight.
