Ray Aviation Scholarship.
Helping the next generation of aviators turn a passion for flight into a clear path toward earning a pilot certificate.
Investing in Tomorrow’s Aviators
Through the generous support of the Ray Foundation, EAA provides up to $10,000 to deserving youths for their flight training expenses.
The program represents nearly $1,200,000 in scholarships annually and is supported by more than 100 EAA chapters.
Together, the program supports close to 120 scholars as they work toward their aviation goals.
One Scholar. One Opportunity. One Big Step Forward.
Each year, Chapter 723 supports one scholar through funding and mentorship to help him or her work toward earning a pilot certificate.
More Than Financial Support
The Ray Aviation Scholarship is about more than simply helping cover flight-training expenses.
Chapter support also includes mentorship, encouragement and connection with an aviation community that understands what it takes to move from first lessons toward a pilot certificate.
Scholars gain the benefit of experienced aviation members who can help provide guidance, support and motivation along the way.
Helping Young Aviators Reach the Cockpit
The scholarship combines financial support with encouragement from local EAA members to help scholars stay focused on their aviation goals.
Flight Training Funding
Scholarship funding helps offset eligible flight-training expenses while scholars work toward a pilot certificate.
Mentorship
Local EAA members can provide guidance, encouragement and valuable aviation experience throughout the process.
A Path Toward Certification
The program is designed to help deserving young aviators make meaningful progress toward earning a pilot certificate.
Aviation Dreams Need Opportunity
Learning to fly requires commitment, training and access to the right resources.
The Ray Aviation Scholarship helps create an opportunity for motivated young people to take their aviation goals seriously and continue moving toward the cockpit.
